About the Role
As a Client Accounting Controller, you will make a positive impact by directly helping dozens of interesting startup and existing schools gain clarity in their financial position while planning for their financial future so they can continue to grow and thrive.
You’ll be responsible for a portfolio of school clients, which requires you to oversee the monthly accounting process, including account reconciliation, invoicing, bill payments, and payroll while preparing and presenting the monthly/quarterly financial and budget reports to the client’s Board of Directors.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
● Oversee, communicate & be responsible for a group of our clients to ensure that they receive a remarkable experience.
● Prepare & present monthly financial statements at the client’s monthly and/or quarterly Board of Directors Meeting.
● Assist in onboarding new schools by helping to clean up messy books.
● Perform the day-to-day accounting to ensure that everything is on track.
● Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of all tasks related to the group of clients assigned to you.
● Oversee client advisory services, such as budgeting, cash flow projections, KPI reports, grants financial management, and other miscellaneous management reports that our clients may require.
What You Need to Succeed
● You have obtained your CPA accounting designation
● You have at least 5 years of accounting experience
● You have experience working in the not-for-profit industry
● You have experience creating financial statements, budgets, cash-flow projections, and managing grants.
● You have experience managing a team.
● You have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task competing priorities
● You are technology savvy and can switch between several applications easily.
● You have experience using QuickBooks Online
● You believe in delivering awesome client service and have experience in a client-facing role
● You are exceptionally structured & organized
● You are a problem solver
